Clio Grow is Clio's intake CRM: lead capture, consultation booking, engagement letters, and a straight line into Clio Manage. If your firm runs on Clio, it's the path of least resistance. Intake is narrower. It's for getting each client to send the documents a matter needs, with a checklist per client, reminders, and AI that checks each upload.

When Clio Grow is the better choice
- Your firm already runs on Clio Manage and you want leads to become matters automatically.
- You want lead tracking and a consultation pipeline.
- You want trust accounting and billing in the same system.
When Intake is the better choice
- You need a long list of documents from each client, as in bankruptcy, immigration or family law, and want to see what's missing.
- You want AI to flag the wrong document before a paralegal opens it.
- You want published, month-to-month pricing instead of a quote.
- You're not on Clio, or you want document collection that works alongside anything.
- You want to run it from Claude or ChatGPT. Intake has an official MCP server.

Grow's intake forms can take uploads, but it's built around leads and consultations, not per-client lists of outstanding documents.
Not directly yet. You can download a client's documents as a zip, or connect Intake to other systems through the API and webhooks.
Clio no longer publishes most prices. Starter is from $49 per user per month; Grow is an add-on and is included in the Elite plan, which is quote-only.
